The latest requirement which has caused a furor among movers is that they are required to prepare curricula vitae, or resumes. Had this demand been pertinent to potential movers in the future it would have been digested more satisfactorily, however, the problem is the bosses are demanding that all movers, all present employees, make for themselves resumes. When new movers look for a job, it's quite natural today to prepare a resume of past experience, knowledge and education but to demand such a thing from movers who are already employed sounds ridiculous. When probing began to discover why current movers have to prepare resumes it was found that the cause is purely bureaucratic and that the management of mover companies simply wish to have order in their files by updating an orderly list of all their current employees. What do they care if it causes difficulty and embarrassment? The result has been quite pathetic: most movers simply filled out a very poor and basic history of
themselves, because they felt the demand was forced upon them quite unnecessarily. A lesson can be learned here, namely, if the company wants to maintain good relationships with its employees, first consult over such a stupid requirement.
